SIFE Carleton’s Silent Auction

SIFE Carleton’s first annual silent auction was a resounding success. Intended to raise funds and awareness for the Ottawa Food Bank, participants descended on the residence of the Mexican Ambassador and gave an astounding $5,000 and 400 pounds of food!

The Ottawa Food Bank was fortunate to have His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, attend and speak at its Annual General Meeting on January 17th, when he addressed an audience of close to 200, including Board members, member agencies, volunteers and staff.

Shabbat Shira Concert

Support for the Ottawa Food Bank was strong at this interfaith concert celebrating Shabbat Shira, World Religion Day and Martin Luther King Day. Attendees at Temple Israel on 1301 Prince of Wales Drive gave generously, amounting to over $600 and 200 pounds of food.
