WARMING HEARTS AND FILLING TUMMIES IN THE GLEBE

Between February 3-20 business in the Glebe will be offering their customers a paper snowflake for a donation to the Ottawa Food Bank. The stores are then encouraged to hang their snowflakes in their window fronts, creating “Snowflakes in the Glebe”. By the end of the campaign it’ll look like the Glebe has been hit with a blizzard!

Feel like some friendly competition? Maybe stores can see who can collect the most snowflakes!

To encourage everyone to warm-up in the Glebe during Winterlude, volunteers will be interacting with skaters on the canal on Saturdays. They will be handing out grab-bags filled with coupons and information about the Glebe, Snowflakes in the Glebe, and the Ottawa Food Bank.

McKeen Metro in the Glebe would also like to get involved; they will be holding a food drive on Feb 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m on both days.
