With this in mind the Ottawa Food Bank collects and distributes food to community food programs, who then provide it to those in need.

City Wide AgencyEffective June 2025, the way food program visitor information is collected and stored at food programs will be changing. Most take-home food (“grocery”) programs that work with the Ottawa Food Bank will have access to all information provided by visitors since January 2024.
